Metabolic Syndrome Screening with Corpus Christi

Using the results from Corpus Christis previous health screening Apple Wellbeing were able to identify the individuals who may have been at risk from Metabolic Syndrome.

Metabolic Syndrome is a combination of medical disorders that increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

The signs and symptoms of developing metabolic syndrome are:

• Diabetes
• Central Obesity
• High blood Pressure
• High Cholesterol Levels

By following up the initial screenings and consultations, individuals were able to see if they had made the significant changes to their lifestyle in order to reduce the risk of Metabolic Syndrome.

The findings of the day were very successful with 91% of the individuals identified with potential problems improving their health in one or more way.
