Achievements

The programmes and outcomes differ for different organisations. Below is just an outline of what the results were for a variety of different organisations.

NTL - Increased productivity. Essentially achieved through discovering the relationship that existed between blood sugar levels (energy) and sales.

Health screening, extensive consultation and education resulted in individuals making significant lifestyle change. Collectively this resulted in a more productive regional sales team.

OCTAGON - Teambuilding! Health assessments and retesting employees to set realistic targets resulting in goal achievement. DDC - Apple Wellbeing utilised by a company to achieve Investors In People accreditation.

ATHERTON CONVEYORS - A small company of manual workers whose employer wanted to be seen as a boss who cares!

WILKINSON - Britain’s largest family owned company employing 22,000 employees. They wanted to deliver a health initiative that was inclusive to all employees. Extensive data collection has enabled H.R. and Health and Safety to promote new policies and strategies. These range from changing canteen provision to promoting group stress reducing activities, corporate health club membership and running slimming clubs.

The scale of this project is large enough to affect change on a day to day operational level. Examples being;

- Monitoring dust levels and temperature due to high levels of asthma and poor lung function.

- Pedometers worn by employees on picking lines.

- Awareness of high blood pressure and stress experienced by management and supervisors.

- Obesity, pre-diabetes and weight related issues significantly higher than national averages. Concerns over such issues have gone all the way to boardroom level.

Whatever the programme or the organisation the overall result is a more motivated productive workforce, lower absenteeism, and less long-term health issues.
